GRUB

So, when Bianca invited me to Grub and prefaced it with the fact that it was owned by a Top Chef alum, I expected just a fun, kitschy LA "be there to be there" kind of place.

First, it's worth noting that Grub is way off the beaten track (well...as much as you can be in Hollywood). You'll drive through some industrial centers and a residential neighborhood to get there. And the restaurant itself is a cozy little house, smack dab on the corner!

The best way to describe Grub is to compare it to Miss Honey's house in Matilda. So beautiful, quaint, picturesque. Little lights everywhere, so incredibly cozy, servers so nice you want to cry. Prices were very reasonable. Grub puts a very elegant touch of class to classic comfort food.

B got the Tuna Melt, voted "Best Tuna Melt in LA" by LA Magazine. She was very impressed. I ordered the Spicy BBQ Pulled Pork, topped with lemon slaw and garlic aioli. Sooo amazing!

And for techies, do a Yelp check-in via smartphone, and you may get a discount like we did!
